Torsgatan – Brand identity & branded environment
WHAT? Torsgatan is a restaurant / food court in Stockholm. Situated in "Bonnierhuset" (the Bonnier family is the most famous publishing family in Sweden with a majority of newspapers and magasines under their belt) they are an integral part of a new investment within the building. They serve anything between business lunch to well-made streetfood with fresh homemade bread as well as high-end take-away, all under one roof. The idea was hatched by Magnus Bergh who is somewhat of a profile in the restaurant scene in Stockholm, having been involved in, and managed, very successful ventures like the F12 group just to mention one.
HOW? We were inspired by the history of the building and designed a concept based on old printing techniques that can stand alone as well as work in conjunction with others to illustrate the width and breadth of the concept. It's both a destination – Torsgatan and aslo separate concepts within the concept like Matsalen (business lunch), Torget (street food) and Delikatessen (take-away). With the typographic concept we constructed you can both use the sub brands on their own and as a part of the whole. Using this base we also developed signage and a concept for packaging used for drinks and take-away.
