Boredom at School
is, by far, the best inspiration
Ever since I was a very little girl, I had to sit through long church services with nothing to do but dangle my legs and stare at my feet impatiently. The eternal hour trickled by, and while I was supposed to be listening to what was being taught, I found myself distractedly staring at everything ranging from a ceiling fan to a stray fly--until I found a way to focus my thoughts in one place.

With a notebook and a pencil in my hand, I realized that I could keep my hands busy on producing artwork and be under the illusion of time going by faster. Drawing at lectures increased my concentration and taught me to multitask better, and therefore it is not weird that often during my high school years I would make "masterpieces" out of plain folders and colorful collages out of every boring, plain surface.
