The Oneonta town logo competition sparked an interest in looking up my own hometown's logo. The current logo is a circle with the town's outline inside and says Town of Red Hook twice. I thought I'd give a redo a try. I'd like the logo to represent the town and community as they stand now.

Red Hook, NY has been established as a Tree City USA for 11 years and the village for 15 years. This program is a great opportunity to celebrate the importance of an urban tree canopy and improve care of these vital city trees.

I wanted my logo to emphasize our classic apple orchids as well as our view of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. We house orchid after orchid and field after field of homegrown food. We are surrounded by beauty, deeply rooted in our heritage, and live proudly and happily in our little town.
