Our friends at Chronicle Books asked us to help them develop an authentic book about different types of barbecue from across the United States. Being located in one of (some would argue the) barbecue capital, we were eager to bring our expertise to the table.
No ordinary book, “Extreme Barbecue” is really three books in one: a profile of different cooks from around the country, a showcase of some of their favorite recipes and a gallery of the different types of equipment (all shapes and sizes, often homemade). Given that spirit, we worked within a rough-hewn and authentic style to provide a fun experience for both novice and expert chefs alike.
