Digital Illustration and Advertising Design
Upon being approached by the furniture company, Pavillion, which specializes in outdoor patio furniture, the initial question in my head was,"How can I take a seemingly boring product and make it stand out?"
My initial premise was wrong. A boring product it was not. After meeting with the designer and touring the factory, I came away inspired by their attention to detail. This company was taking a mundane product to a higher aesthetic.

It brought to mind how all cultures have a deep appreciation for beauty, and how often beautiful objects became adornments. I am a lover of native art, so naturally my creative process in this campaign stemmed from this love. My thought process was to take the beautiful details of Pavillion's product and create visual imagery inspired by adornment. Being a Florida based company, Pavillion is up against intense competition in outdoor patio furniture. I needed to consider that and set them apart from the mundane offerings of others.

As art director, graphic designer and digital Illustrator, I created a campaign with a strong visual impact by removing the patio in patio furniture and replaced it with a human desire for adornment.

It was important to have a high fashion look to the ads,
so I teamed up with my good friend, Fashion Photographer Dirk Franke.
Dirk also shot the chairs at different angles to use in the retouching.
