As an independent project, I came up with the idea for a book to showcase the many manly and creative ways one can wear his lip sweater proud as well as the history of the mustache. After choosing the content, I then decided on the layout. I designed block phrases to start each chapter, a timeline set stache., and straight razor flourishes. I chose to hand make the book with french folded pages to give it more thickness and perfect bound all by hand. The pages were printed on Speckletone paper by French Paper. During this project I developed an understand and greater appreciation on how books are made and the many different types of bindings. In addition, I expanded the campaign to include bus stop boards to advertise the books release.
