Microsoft asked us to create an invite for an upcoming event called Work Smarter. The event was to be hosted in New York, with its purpose to introduce young female professionals to new products from Microsoft Office. We wanted to create a brand that was sophisticated, smart, and elegant, and this was what we came up with.

To make sure we were on target with the right look & feel, we created mood boards. We liked the idea of "simple sophistication", where the simplest of forms created the outmost elegance. Airy, chic, and minimal looks, were our go-to.

When we were drafting different versions of the design, we placed imagery and photos of the venue to help create inspiration.

We used After Effects to create a gif for an interactive element. Using the pattern that we made for the invite, we created an animation that projected onto the venue.

The animated pattern was eventually placed on other collateral. While we were only originally tasked with creating the invite, items such as tote bags and coasters were made as well.
