Folqa figures got pretty successful in a couple of month on the Hungarian souvenir market. This summer, tourists and locals had the chance to meet our new products: Kitchen placemats with coasters and fridge magnets.
Four of the six figures got chosen for the placemat design: Folqa Outlaw 'the Just', Folqa Potter 'the Focused', Folqa Thatcher 'the Eco-freindly' and Folqa Splitter 'the Cautious'. Their introductory poems and their folk motifs appear on the placemats and coasters.
Decorations and motifs suit the needs of a modern household while preserving Hungarian traditions. Instead of aging gifts, Folqa Collection aims to modernise souvenir market, and bring folk history back to our everyday life.
To be successful on a souvenir market, you have to offer a full range of products in every price segments. It was a great challenge to extend Folqa brand below the 5 euro limit without compromising on the quality and brand value. Therefore we produced tin fridge magnets, with non-scratching back, each packed and sold separately with a card. One for younger target group with a "proud to be souvenir" title, and a more traditional one with the Kalocsai motif.
