What's Lost Never Perishes
Cherished and forgotten,
Loved and abandoned,
Promised and forsaken,
All things lost and found.
Buildings remain, but we have left. There is a gentle echo of familiar footsteps down these empty corridors. A face, a smile, a tender wave of hands - they all fade away like ghosts at dawn. What is left? Sunlight is still flooding into the old living room. The bustling street of Chinese shophouses remain, but I can no longer read the signboards; all the shoppers have returned home.
