Compact Habitable Units
Fascinated by Japanese ingenuity, I designed compact units for holiday makers and residents alike. Intended to maximise internal space and comfort, these units have large sleeping platforms (large enough for a double bed and associated storage space) above a sunken lounge and kitchen area.
The multi-level layout increases the internal space dramatically and is accompanied by hidden storage areas within the walls. The screened bathroom area maintains privacy but allows increased natural daylight into the property. Large rooflights are fitted with internal adjustable blinds to promote privacy and temperature regulation within the property.
