Dave Eggers, — writer, publisher and literary entrepreneur, — is a busy multifaceted man. Dividing his efforts across multiple projects, the spectrum of his work might be hard to grasp. This issue's conceptual and visual approach takes that complexity and tries to dismantle it, by attempting to map Egger's world.
The A5 sized folded issue opens into one giant map to the world of Dave Eggers. The direction of the folds is planned to respect the direction of the reading, making it possible to read the whole interview without having to unfold the whole poster. Parallel to the text, a second layer of reading takes place: colour-coded lines guide the reader through references and topics brought up by Eggers, to a side-column of "Notes & Apologies", complementary information that help contextualising the references made in the interview.
