A visualisation of all the coloured text within a selection of accessible European newspapers aims to present the normally strict and monotone newspaper in the opposite spectrum, highlighting colour as a visual language. Often details such as composition, colour and type sensitivity are disregarded as we are distracted by the information newspapers presents us. However, while the overlapped contents of Chroma may be illegible or chaotic; it allows us to comparatively study the visual similarities and differences between each newspaper. The manual labour of outlining each word was a decision made to reflect my choice of handling physical newspapers and allowing myself to intimately understand the design cultures/visual dialogue of these newspapers.
