The Basic question of this work is: "At what degree of distortion or alienation is photography no longer mirroring the reality?".
The work began with research and defining of the term "reality" for this work.
Other research apects were the visual perception of people, the recording process of camera and the comparison of both processes. For this workpiece architectural photography was chosen, followed by decisions on the format, color and degree of alienation. The selection of cameras, lenses, tripods, and the search for suitable pictures/locations ensued. During the act of photographing it was necessary to take steps forth and back in the process, due to the complexity of outside photography.
Last, the editing process is discribed and the workpiece is presented. In conclusion, the initial question can not be answerd clearly, but it is to be hoped that the peace of art provides indications for a discourse.
