في هذه اللوحتين إحداهما تعبر عن شيء مرئي و شيء آخر غير مرئي بطريقة مباشرة في حين أن اللوحة الأخرى تعبر عن   شيء مرئي و آخر غير مرئي و لكن بطريقة غير مباشرة 

ففي اللوحة الأولى والتي تعبر عن المعنى المباشر فكانت تعبر عن الفرق بين نظرة الرجل و نظرة المرأة عندما ينظران للمرأة ، فالرجل ينظر للأجزاء الظاهرة من جسد المرأة (الجزء المرئي بالنسبة للرجل) و في الغالب لا يهتم إلى النظر إلى تفاصيل ما ترتدي (الجزء الغير مرئي بالنسبة للرجل) في حين أن المرأة تنظر لهندام المرأة التي تراها وتدقق في أناقتها (الجزء المرئي بالنسبة للمرأة) في حين أنها في الغالب لا تنظر إلى ما ظهر من جسدها (الجزء الغير مرئي بالنسبة للمرأة

 أما اللوحة الأخرى و التي تعبر عن المعنى الغير مباشر فتظهر فيها امرأة ترقص فكان الرقص هو الشيء المرئي في حين أن الموسيقى هي شيء مسموع غير مرئي

The first painting articulates the direct concept of visible and invisible. While the second painting articulates the indirectly for the same concept.

The first painting expresses the difference between the way men look at women and women look at women.

Men tend to overlook the specific details such her style, make-up shoes etc. and focus on the physical part of the women’s appearance. Women on the other hand, they go deep into details when the “analyze” a woman full appearance and usually tend to leave the physical part.

The second painting expresses the indirect concept, as it shows  women dancing which is the visible part and at the same time it hints to the invisible part which is the music.
