Chapter 1: Food Shortage
During the Japanese Occupation, Singapore faced a severe shortage of food. The Japanese introduced rationing and a black market emerged. Struggling to survive, Singaporeans found a way to grow their own crops and rear livestock.
Chapter 2: Women in War
During World War II, the fear of being raped and killed by Japanese soldiers was enough to keep women hiding indoors. But many found novel ways to overcome the situation and even help others.
