Kingston Pound 是一種由英國地方政府 (Kingston) 所發行的貨幣，作用類似台灣以前的消費券或三倍券，用於活絡當地經濟循環。Kingston Pound只能在當地使用，因此在設計上考慮融入當地的地景以及文化特色，Kingston 在歷史上是歷代英國國王受封的地點而以此為名，這一點讓我聯想到撲克牌的老K，最後決定將幣面設計成類似撲克牌的模樣，運用撲克牌的四種花色 ── 黑桃 / 紅心 / 磚塊 / 梅花分別去對應表示 20 英鎊 / 10英鎊 / 5英鎊 / 1英鎊，作為其識別元素，並挑選了四位曾在 Kingston 受封的國王作為幣面正面的設計，背面則為 Kingston 的地標景色以及國王的資訊，希望讓 Kingston Pound 在實用之餘也能讓人玩味。
Kingston Pound is a practical project to design Kingston’s local money, Kingston Pound, which will only be circulating in Kingston region for improving the local economy. After certain research, it led me to the idea of the faces of poker cards K which are representing kings David, Charles, Cesar and Alexandre respectively. As Kingston was the place where England Kings were crowned. I then picked four kings to combine with the four suits ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ from Poker, aiming to make the banknotes playful but meanwhile educational and useful so that people can play with it and also distinguish the denomination with the different suits and colours. The content of the back is basic information of the four kings and four landmarks in Kingston.
