Tour Of Ukraine: 2017 Shoot for race presentation

A couple of days ago I had a great photo shoot of a professional cyclist. The organizer of the photoshoot was one of the best advertising and event agencies in Ukraine Royal Advertising in the person of the creative director Andrey Franchuk. In the main brief I had  to photograph 1 (one) picture for the presentation slider, of the forthcoming cycle race Tour of Ukraine 2017. For that photo shoot, I get at my disposal, the best representatives of Ukrainian cycling.Kolss cycling club, members of the Ukrainian professional highway team KOLSS CYCLING TEAM (UCI Team Code: KLS), namely racer Vitaly Buts, team director Alexander Artemiev, manager Yuri Chebykin, and the coolest road bike Colnago
The daily life of almost every modern person is somehow connected with sports: someone regularly engaged in fitness; Someone struggles with excess weight and hypodynamia in the gym; Someone winds the kilometers, twisting the pedals of a bicycle on a day off;

Someone spends a lot of time in the gym, while his children or grandchildren embody their (or parental) dream of becoming a champion; Someone does not miss the opportunity to be in the crowd of football fans, to play with pleasure (approvingly or indignantly) while playing your favorite team. Sport gives you the opportunity to have fun, feel stronger, more clever, slimmer, stronger in spirit.

But for some, sports became the main thing in life. They understand and accept the thought expressed by the French writer Maurice Decaubra: "Sport is entertainment up to the seventh sweat". These guys we see, mostly on TV, when they tell us about their achievements and victories in the competitions.

For taking theese photos, we chose an authentic location with a wide asphalt surface, and most importantly - the lack of cars. That location allowed us not to fake a ride, as is often done in a closed studio, but to create authentic images of racer at high speed, with real wind, not with an affected but natural strain of muscles. In general, the choice of location was very important step!
I'm impressed by people who love what they do. Therefore, any shooting professionals in their work, whether it's a cyclist, a baker, or a doctor, gives me great pleasure. I think that the people I photograph also feel this, and this allow me to produce such a great pictures. It is nice to realize that my photos will promotesuch a large-scale international event as Tour of Ukraine 2017

To accomplish this task, it took us about 4 hours of time and complete dedication of the whole team. After all, catching a bicycle traveling at high speed into the light traps we built is not an easy task at all! But thanks to our experience and diligence, we coped with it with a bang! Of course, we would not be able to achieve such a result if our champion Vitalik did not give all 100. Vitalik had to not only ride at maximum speed, jump on a road bike, but also balance on the spot. And this, as it turned out, is not a simple task.
The fact that Vitalik had a hard time, because Sometimes it was necessary to repeat the same movement several dozen times, does not at all mean that we conducted this survey with a finger in the nose. I felt a great responsibility: the best professionals trusted me, and I simply could not afford to screw up.
Despite the difficulties (or thanks to them), It was the great experience. Personally, I got a lot of pleasure from work. But not only: I was offered to drive on the best professional road bike COLNAGO! Great weight! fragile girl can raise the bike with just her finger. It's also amazing that technical progress has reached the point where the transmissions on the bike no longer switch levers, as we all are accustomed to: to turn on the required speed, you just need to press the button and the servos will do everything for you. Just like in the "Formula 1"!

And of course, - a couple of words about how it all looked really. To adjust the light and build the frame, I, as always, find the most comfortable poses for myself!
We planned to do another "bottom view" frame, when the cyclist jumps over me, but due to time limitations this idea was not realized.
Well, maybe we still have everything ahead and together we can make Tour Of Ukraine 2017 even cooler!
Thank You for Your attention!
