This was a project completed in my Digital Design class. For our final project of the semester, we had to create a portrait of an artist we have drawn inspiration from and use elements of their works of art to create it. I visited Spain a few summers ago and was fortunate enough to see the architecture and amazing work of Antoni Gaudi, an artist much ahead of his time. Gaudi incorporated a lot of different materials into his pieces. I was most mesmerized by the amazing tile work incorporated throughout a number of his pieces of work. Especially in the beautiful Park Guell. I used a photo of some of the tile used along with a picture of Antoni Gaudi. I wanted it to appear that the number of pieces placed together were pieces of Gaudi's face, which then form his portrait.
