Experimenting with typography concepts related to "Schmedia" (Schmieding and Media).  An S seemed to be a front-runner in terms of aesthetics and variability in use, though the classic Sigma mark was enticing at various angles and orientations.
A combination of two of the original concepts, relating the concept of building digital media, the mission of Schmedia.  Of note, the surname Schmieding roughly translates to "of the blacksmith," to be interpreted as a blacksmith tradesman, or a tool used by one, such as a hammer.

The Sigma mentioned earlier is a fun concept to play with, as seen above, but is rigid in its application.  Perhaps something to play with in future marketing or rebranding.
Type and gradient help lend texture and depth to the mark, helping portray the physical - real - nature of the objects "attached" to the apex and tail of the "S," both representative of the productive of media under the Schmedia banner.
