Little Worlds (2016)

As artist we all have a different perceptions and ways of interpreting mutual ideas. The photographic series ‘Little Worlds’ explores the life of my subject Annie Brown. The nature the of narrative is a re-representation and collaboration between Annie’s artistic idea’s and my own.

The project was influenced by our conversations with one another, as well as through my own research and discovery. I have taken into consideration different aspects of her life and how they influence her.The resolution of the documentary project is creating a surreal environment where Annie is immersed in her artwork, as if she is a part of the fiction world she has created. 

The yellow light, like the sun, shines down from the top right, lighting her hair and “Little World” placed within her hand. The colours and composition of the photographs have been deliberately laid out in a way to create fictional worlds, extending of the one’s Annie has created through her artworks.
