The game has the user flying a spaceship through space collecting coins to fund NASA all the while avoiding flying debris.
The app focuses on the fun first but, in order to continue after crashing the spaceship, the user is prompted with options to learn more about NASA or go to the store, where they can acquire new ships, boosts, or different environments with the coins collected in-game or real money. All proceeds go to NASA.
Additionally, the Space Voyager widget provides the user with daily fun facts about NASA and its contribution to modern technology.
