COLLECT
(Part 3 of DELETE)
–
"We know more and understand less."
COLLECT is an interactive installation conceived for DELETE,
an immersive, site-specific, 4 room Interactive experience
or audiences from 8 to 12 years old.
A waterfall of data. This room is about the overwhelming amount of information
we deal with every day and questions if we are able to process or understand anything.
––––
The experiences develops on three interactive tableaux,
each one exploring the different ways we consume information.
Tableau 1 (News/Ads/Searches):
Audience submitted personal data on a website they visited prior to the show.
In this tableau we used their answers the questions "What makes you happy?"
and "What scares you?" and allowed other to find them".
Tableau 2 (Music/Sound/Noise):
Audience disrupt patterns of lines that react and create sounds
that gradually turn dissonant and cacophonic.
Tableau 3 (Messages/Comments/Posts):
Audience submitted personal data on a website they visited prior to the show.
In this tableau we used their answer to "Tell us something surprising about you"
and allowed others to read them.
