Michael McVeigh is a figurative painter and printmaker who has lived and worked in Edinburgh since 1982.  His work is centred in the world around him and he has been described as a modern day folk artist.  Born in Dundee in 1957, McVeigh studied at the Duncan of Jordanstone Art College whose Head was Alberto Morrocco.  Michael is an engaging artist whose work is informed by his deep knowledge of art and artists.  Michael had his first one man show at the Scottish Gallery in 2016.
