For the ‘Small and Heavy’ element I utilized the image of the birdcage, but in similar organic fashion to the flower form of the big and light to embody ‘captivity’. The ‘Big and Light’ component is a brooch so that it is higher in position than the ‘Small and Heavy’ that is a ring, when it is worn. This was to symbolize the triumph of freedom over captivity.
