The visualization shows the top 100 board games with highest score on boardgamegeek.com (February 2017).
Each game is arranged from left to right by the score, and from bottom to top by year of production. The height of the pieces specifies the maximum number of players allowed, the black triangles identifies the games that can be played solo, whereas the color shows the game’s setting (Ancient History, Middle Ages, Modern History, Industrial Revolution, Contemporary Period, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Abstract). Each game can be found in the legend according to his number.
On the right, is analyzed the game with highest score for each setting according to the minimum and maximum playing time of a standard match.
