Essent, a Dutch energy supplier, thought it was time to make electricity during daytime just as cheap as during nighttime. So washing at night isn’t needed anymore. To celebrate the end of this nighttime washing we’ve created a wonderful remake of Rembrandt’s world famous Nightwatch: The Nightwash.

We asked graffiti artist to ‘paint’ with clothes. Together we created an enormous work of art (25x20 meter) with hundreds and hundreds pieces of clothing. (An estimated 3.900 kg of laundry) In the meantime showing how much laundry you don’t have to do at night anymore.
