DARNA 2017: an e-comic adaptation

Created by Mars Ravelo, the idea of her was conceived at around 1939, but always rejected because the publishers that Mr. Ravelo went to responded the same thing: female superheroes will not sell. He then shelved the idea until after World War II. His idea was accepted by Bulaklak Comics and his character debuted as "Varga", but due to conflicts with his writer, Mars Ravelo left and transferred to Liwayway. During that time, Bulaklak Comics was the current licence holder for "Varga" therefore was left behind and the name "Darna" emerged.
