Cell III Protective line STX 2015

A new functional design of the Cell protective system including gloves, shoulder pad, shoulder pad liner, arm guard, arm pad and elbow pad.

Designed for maximum protection with player mobility using the patented GeoFlex protective system. This was the best selling Lacrosse protective system in the STX line.

I was responsible for all aspects of the design process from intensive user research, mock ups and user testing, prototypes, creating tech packs, iterations with manufacturers, field testing, and development.

Shoulder Pad: Redesigned with a new chassis and seven stretch zones provide best in
class fit. Floating rigid compression molded chest plate above offset chest
protection with a custom designed patented internal protective system- Geoflex
providing best in class commotio-cordis protection.

Arm Guard, Elbow Pad, and Arm Pad: a redesign with a new chassis and materials of the most popular arm protective line in men’s lacrosse. Custom designed Geoflex improved fit, added ventilation, infinity hook and loop tape strap system for best fit, updated styling for more aggressive look, and compression sleeve for added comfort.

Glove: A was a redesign of the Cell 2 glove. Featuring best fit in the STX line, more
protection in thumb areas, redesigned palm to reduce tearing. This became the highest selling glove in STX product line.

Geo Flex: was designed for Cell III. Geo Flex is injection molded in sheets large enough to die-cut an entire chest panel, the system is able to form flexible compound curves, and is designed to withstand an intense impact without breaking, the final design is stronger than the original flat PE board. It effectively and greatly reduces the amount of energy transferred to the athlete after an impact. The system is also perforated, affording consistent airflow throughout the product application.
