Heritage textiles for wearable fashion
This project is an initiative to give traditional craft a contemporary platform to explore its possibilities
and make it a part of modern fashion.
Taking into consideration a serious futuristic scenario we have to come up with a design story
to support our concept of the design.
RESURRECTION : A KALAMKARI COLLECTION
its a future scenario where the sources of knowledge are vanished from the world and to restore the knowledge, the united government have taken an initiative to start a knowledge revolution, for which a lot of knowledge halls are created.
a knowledge hall is a library of experiences, their are no subjects no fields, people come discuss and record their outcomes and meetings. one can see people from every field art literature, science, etc. the great knowledge hall is not just an official zone of knowledge creation, its an informal free space to express who you are, and your thoughts and experiences, hence its a place where people are conscious about what they put on their back. Their is no gender, nor a social role to follow,
everyone around are free to be whoever they wanted to be.

SRIKALAHASTI KALAMKARI
Srikalahasti Kalamkari is a style of kalamkari work which involves dyed hand-painting of a Fabric. It is produced in Srikalahasti of chittor district in the indian state of Andhra pradesh.
