FABRIC CONSTRUCTION
This project was an innovative challenge where we explored and experimented with materials and created successful non-woven textile. Following the design process the final outcome of the project was to create a successful product, using one of the innovative surfaces.
THE BANANA SPATHE
As a source of inspiration i looked for this beautiful tropical flower, which is famous for its fruit rather than its one of the rare beauty,
'the banana flower'.
Visually, its a tropical delight, when one observes the natural beauty of this flower, but in the process,
my attention was narrowed to the fleshy spathe of the banana flower.
Its a bract which protects the florets of the flower, and have beautiful color and texture as compare to the other parts of the flower.
hence, the fleshy red spathe of the banana flower become my inspiration and visual source to achieve new tactile surfaces.
