Circles Asia (now Circles Life)

Circles Asia is an operating brand of Singapore-based mobile telecommunications company, Liberty Wireless, which sets out to “re-imagine the mobile experience for the digital consumers” in Singapore and other parts of Asia Pacific.

We were tasked to deliver a stunning, special visual experience for customers who have chosen any number from its “Special Number” selection – Golden Numbers, Personalized Numbers, or Normal Numbers – on Circles.Asia.

To start with, the customers are given a mini memory game in order to jog their memory. There are three numbers that they need to memorize: dad’s, delivery’s, and dentist’s. Next, they have to commit to memory a short instruction about the order of calls.

Game starts when they must key in the correct numbers into the phone keypad – each according to the instruction and within the time limit. If they make a mistake, the keypad’s number layout will be scrambled. They have three lives to get the numbers right. This trick makes the game more challenging and trains the players’ concentration.

This game was designed to show how numbers affect the way human brains make memories, as well as to let the customers experience how much easier it is to remember repetitive numbers than random ones.

That’s why we used three numbers that people are most often in contact with – family’s, take-out restaurant’s, and doctor’s – to explain Circles Asia’s special number services implicitly. Dad’s being the “Golden” numbers, Delivery’s the “Personalized” numbers, and Dentist’s the “Normal” numbers.
