I also got a chance to work on a conference shirt, which is always fun to do. Below is the shirt. As I began to flesh out a bigger post for this conference, I'll include my drawings and early concepts as well as a photo of the shirt printed ups.

I get to do some fun work at UT and one of the pieces that I recently got a chance to design was for a conference we are putting on for the staff here. The conference will focus on communication and how we are doing that cohesively for UT. Since we're the central design hub for UT, we get a chance to help steer the University as a whole. This conference will hopefully help with bringing all types of communicators together. 

This is the largest project I've worked on in my years as a designer. It was both fun and stressful on various levels. Our goal was to design an entire dining hall that had just been built recently here at UT. There were two designers and a project manager on this project. In the end, I think we nailed what the client was looking for and just in time for the Orange and White Spring game UT has.

Had the opportunity to redesign the Chancellor's Honors Banquet this year. This banquet recognizes various students for all the work they've done with representing UT. Included in this project was a invite card, newspaper insert, stickers, awards, program, name cards, email headers and parking signage. 

We were asked to design an online recruiting tool for prospective applicants considering UT. Towards the end, I wanted to design a few icons to help illustrate some of the content that was given.

Got a chance to help brand for this year's Safe Spring Break for the Center for Health Education & Wellness. I really wanted to hit students with that spring vibe so I chose this style to do it in.

I was asked to do an illustration for a story in our Torchbearer magazine. I designed to go pretty straight forward with this piece. I illustrated a few concepts out on paper and from there scanned them in and went to town in illustrator. I always enjoy doing hand drawn fonts and illustrations, so I'm glad I got the chance to use it here. 

So we got to do something special this past week. We were a part of a Guinness World Record at UT for the largest human letter. We of course chose our Power T as the letter and Al Roker and the Today gang were there to help make it all official. This received major publicity for our University and was a lot of fun to work on. 

I specifically helped created a "Power T Man" that was used on our shirts and social media accounts. The hardest part of it all, was figuring out how to proportionately make it all look good. Ultimately I think we landed in a good spot and I'm proud of the way it turned out. And at the end of the day it was an honor to just be a part of history.
