It was a trip to my boyfriend's hometown Sitiawan, Perak. Not all of us get to experience the kampong life which these people face on a daily basis. 

My aim was to let my audience feel the cultural difference between Malaysia & Singapore and realise how fortunate we are to have food placed on our table everyday and get allowance from our parents. In Malaysia, teenagers who graduate from secondary school (aka Form 5 in Malaysia which is equivalent to an O level certificate in Singapore) is expected to leave the country to work. Hence, they gain independence at a very young age.

For this project, I visited 2 places - A traditional Chinese pastry shop and a wet market. I visited these 2 places because I truly felt like it brought a difference experience to me since I'm usually not a person who would go to markets in Singapore.
