Jose Mendez was commissioned by It's Nice That to create a series of illustrations for a feature on drugs and creativity.
Jose Mendez is a Spanish illustrator and artist based in Barcelona. Originally from Madrid, he studied a degree in Graphic Design, finalising his studies in Paris. In 2012 he completed a Masters in animation at University of Arts London.
Jose works with a wide range of mediums across multiple platforms (illustration, graffiti, animation, typography, clothing design, etc.). His client list includes BBC, Converse, Facebook, GQ, Grazia, Harriman Steel, Little White Lies, M&C Saatchi, Microsoft, Mubi, Skoda, Studio Output, Psyop, The New York Times and Wesc amongst others.
