Where did you sleep last night?

PHOTOGRAPHY
2016
For some months, in the days where refused furniture is collected, I observed the ease which we feel when we get rid of certain possessions, specially, mattresses. It was sad to see how these objects that had been part of the daily life of the former owners ended up in the garbage. Also, the way they were deprived of the category of memories when they were renovated.
I wanted to make something beautiful out of something sad, to give them their prominence and relevance.
I wanted to turn them into memories.

After photographing more than eighty mattresses during various months, the project turned into a limited edition of fifty postcards with four different photographies, which travelled from Barcelona to different countries in the world to give a new function with another meaning to those mattresses.
