The SPCA is currently working on integrating education about animal welfare into primary and intermediate schools curriculum. The focus of this program is to teach youth about the core values known as The Five Freedoms, which are a set of internationally recognised welfare standards for animals.
The SPCA approached a group of second year graphic design students at Unitec, with a proposal to create some short animations to show at the schools, as well as through their social media platforms.These were to be used to promote and inform about these values. With my love for animals and animal welfare, I was really excited to be involved with the project, and created this short animation demonstrating The Five Freedoms.
