Palazzo Gulinelli Canonici Mattei

BRAND IDENTITY
Palazzo Gulinelli

Located in Ferrara, Palazzo Gulinelli was once the residence of Count Giacomo Gulinelli in the 17th century. Acquired by the Canonici Mattei Institute, it became a school until a devastating earthquake in 2012 forced its closure.
After four years, I had the opportunity to design a new identity for Palazzo Gulinelli. The goal was to honor its heritage and generate interest in visiting the building. Through promotional assets, we aim to raise funds for reconstructing the earthquake-damaged parts, contributing to the restoration of this historical landmark.

LOGO
The logo, inspired by the building’s architectural elements and the Gulinelli family’s heritage, serves as the centrepiece of the brand identity.

It captures the essence of Palazzo Gulinelli, representing its noble past with a modern touch, transforming the building into a cultural and education point.

VISUAL REFERENCES AND PROCESS

Following the creation of the logo, I’ve been expanding the identity into different channels. I have developed the website, elegant stationery and guides, blending its history with a touch of modernity.

As part of my role, I have been designing brochures, flyers, and promotional graphics that aimed to capture the attention of visitors, encouraging them to explore the site.

Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with an art director, web developer and copywriters to ensure a cohesive execution of the design strategy. Together, we brought the vision for Palazzo Gulinelli to life, from concept development to implementation.
By overseeing the entire design process, I maintained a consistent brand identity that aligned with the institute’s vision.
