“Akeem the Dream” details the arduous journey of Ole Miss running back Akeem Judd and his perseverance to make it to his senior year of college. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Akeem grew up around an endless cycle of drug and gang violence. To make things worse, his father was not around and his mother was addicted to drugs. An eighteen-year-old Akeem was forced to fend for himself alone in a dark house. Once his assistant principle heard of his situation, she was inspired to help; changing Akeem’s life for the better and giving a much-deserved break to a excellent young man.
