Former psychiatric hospital "Santa Maria della Pietà"

The hospital was opened in 1913 on a hill in Rome and it was, at that time, the biggest asylum in Europe: 41 buildings and more that 1000 inmates capacity. It was closed in 1978 as all the other psychiatric hospitals in Italy. Nowdays some buildings are abandoned and some other are used by public offices of Rome municipality.
