BBC KNOWLEDGE: CHANNEL REBRAND
Brand refresh for BBC Worldwide’s leading global TV channel, BBC Knowledge, in accordance with their strategic repositioning, moving Knowledge from a position of authority and certainty of fact, to a platform for peoples opinions and ideas.
Response was created to open the viewers minds to the possibilities of Knowledge and to question how we perceive it.
A series of idents were created to make us question how we perceive the world around us, by subtly subverting what may otherwise seem a normal situation. Each ident ended with the iconic upside down question mark emblazoned into the environment, indicating it’s central role within the brand refresh. This central role was fortified by using the question mark as the corner stone for the supporting graphics package.
