A new portrait
What began as a simple graphic poster became more of a historical study once I began to research the few images of the famous Queen. Beheaded by her husband King Henry VIII, he ordered images of Anne destroyed. The remaining pieces are all posthumous and are visibly different, but there are similarities. This piece was completed after a study and distillation of the facial characteristics of Anne’s portraits, with a little artistic license. The goal - a modern expression of the static portraits of the time.
