Digital Kids Music Video & Album Design

This is a promotional CD digipak and music video created for my A2 Media Studies coursework, along with photography by myself.

The photography on the digipak is in relation to the seven deadly sins. The boy photographed is indulging in all of the seven sins. This then relating to the meaning of the video/lyrics.

For those of you that may not understand - the deeper symbolic meaning of the songs lyrics written by Jesse James, as well as the video:

Children and young minds are surrounded by the media and this new digital world which exposes them to the worlds entirety. Young naive minds are suffocated by the violence and pessimistic world around them, and due to this they are blinded by the world they perceive and struggle to establish their own identities. Hence the name "Digital Kids".

The video I have created is supposed to capture this symbolic meaning. A "digital kid" that is lost amongst the modern society due to his corruption from the digital media, and is in search of himself and his own identity; away from the bombardment of the media and the digital world that suffocates him.

This was a very generic stereotype to explore and represent when looking back on it now. Although at the time it was extensive project for me that I enjoyed.
