Art publication for the exhibition ”David LaChapelle Burning Beauty”
Buying the masterpiece LaChapelle Land in New York back in the 90s and loving the imagery of LaChapelle ever since made this a dream project to us. As LaChapelle wanted to move away from the more commercial aspects of his art we decided to use one of his earliest work on the cover printed on silver.
Inside we worked a lot on finding an interesting flow of imagery combining different papers and using five colour printing. While working on the catalogue we came up with the title “Burning Beauty” a quotation by a sonet “Beauty and the Artist” by Michelangelo one of the big inspirations of LaChapelle.
