!!!
!!! is a dance-punk band, formed in Sacramento, California. The band's name was inspired by the subtitles of the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy, in which the clicking sounds of the Bushmens' Khoisan language were represented as "!". However, as the band members themselves say, !!! is pronounced by repeating thrice any monosyllabic sound. Chk Chk Chk is the most common pronunciation, but they could just as easily be called Pow Pow Pow, Bam Bam Bam, Uh Uh Uh, Caw Caw Caw, Boo Boo Boo etc.
In May 2012 !!! had their first club show in Zagreb. For this event I created a poster and limited edition merchandise (t-shirts, button badges and fridge magnets). Colors and style of illustration clearly communicate this type of music (loud, danceable) and illustrated characters have a form of exclamation marks.
