The story has a very clean and direct language, therefore the cover is very clean to match that tone. The book is very typical swedish crime novel and so I wanted the design to have a strong touch of nordic design with straight shapes and simplicity. To give a subtle feeling of the crime I made the front cover illustration with aquarelle and let the red colour speak for itself.
