The Warmest Jacket I Own, Is the One You Gave Me

The Warmest Jacket I Own, Is the One You Gave Me
One of the ways I document my life and my memories are through small fragments of time. Some of these pieces of time are overheard statements on trains or keys that open doors in other countries. Lots of the things I hold close to me don't look like much. If anything many things are cheap or even considered trash. But objects hold so much more than their face value. Having this philosophy about small objects, I began to pair my objects with poems. The nature of poetry lends itself to a similar obscurity at face value.

Each photo in the book is assembled with a background textile, poem, and item. The relationships that each of these components relating to one another create a tactile collection of my memories.

Below are the examples of the project in process.
