Asian Restaurant

Mandarin Palace
This project was created during my internship at Designspace Oy & Tahto&Keino in summer 2015. The assignment came from Chinese restaurant Mandarin Palace, located in Espoo, Sello shopping center. Restaurant wanted to change their looks from old fashioned chinese to more modern and youthful asian style.
Restaurant is a very popular place and it gets often really crowded especially during lunch hours. The most important part of design for the client was that there would be as many seats as possible, so that the supply of the restaurant would answer to demand.
Restaurant is located in Sello's third floor on very open spot. Because of the huge and black from-floor-to-ceiling- room dividers, restaurant gets attention also from other stories. On the wall we designed a painting presenting moth fishes and it was executed by Tahto&Keino.

We also designed all the furniture and lamps for the restaurant, except for the chairs with back rest, buffet table and the cube shaped pendants which were already existing products.
All documents and 3D visuals presented are done by me.
