In early 2015, Hagerty Consulting began development on EMSocialSimulation, a web platform to help clients practice using social media in a safe, risk-free environment.

I play a comprehensive role on this project, including designing the interface, creating branding, and evolving the functionality and aesthetics over time. Since EMSS has been up and running, I have also helped market the tool, conducted demos to secure new clients, and designed and administrated exercises.

Concept logos.

The initial interface design for controller/admin side was a series of panels designed to show as much detail on the exercise as possible, along with real time comments and other statistics about the exercise being run.

The current controller interface is similar to the initial concept. One notable addition is "auto-pilot" mode, which increments exercise time as the exercise progresses. This feature addition allowed us to conduct exercises with far less input and attention.

The initial interface design for players was inspired by browser tabs to make EMSS familiar and approachable. 

The current player interface has evolved to include more interactive components, as well as nested tabs in order to save space for larger exercises with many accounts.

A promotional overview video for EMSS. I created the visuals for the video and used Prezi to animate, then put the final product together using ScreenFlow. Voiceover recordings were provided by Northwestern University theater students.

This training video is provided to players who participate in exercises. I scripted the video, recorded the on-screen interactions, provided voiceovers, and added annotations and callouts using ScreenFlow.
