X-Games Skateboard | Desk Design
The inspiration for this design is the Twin Cities, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and the encompassing nature. The circle above the building left represents Minneapolis while the star above the building right represents its twin city St. Paul, the Capital of Minnesota. Both cities sit on the Mississippi River illustrated by squiggly lines and repeating triangles symbolize the state tree, a variety of pine. X Games branding for Minneapolis 2017 also utilizes repeating triangles. Including this design element is a great way to connect previous X Games branding with the official X Games skateboard.
