Here is my entry for this months #CDChallenge group on facebook for the #Maoriwarrior theme. I have no idea how I ended up making a chicken for this one. After doing a bunch of explorations of badass Maori warriors (humans), I did a small doodle of a chicken in a corner of a page and went ‘Yeeeeup’.

Below are some of the thumbnail explorations done for the design. I like to draw small doodles to come up with idea and spend very less time at the beginning. This allows me to try several ideas before I finalize on something and start to draw on a bigger scale.
